Our Story : Brewing Change Since 1997
Planet Bean began as Guelph’s first craft roastery in over 50 years, with one radical idea: great coffee should do good. From day one, we committed to 100% Fairtrade and organic Arabica beans—transforming downtown’s aroma into a beacon for ethical coffee lovers.
Today, we continue roasting small batches to order in our Grange Road roastery, serving our two cafés, two University of Guelph locations, and dozens of restaurants and cafés across Ontario. From grocery stores to community spaces, our beans arrive fresh—never warehoused—ensuring every cup tastes as vibrant as the day it was roasted.
